Mickey's Marinade is a meat tenderizing and flavor-enhancing marinade that we have been making for years. Our friends and family continually encouraged us to market the marinade. Finally, we did, wondering if our friends and family were being genuine. It appears by all accounts that they were. People that try newly-named Mickey's Marinade return for more. Some have used it for Christmas gifts to customers and even family.

Mickey's Marinade works well with any meat, including fish and wild game. Like all marinades, marinating time varies depending on the porosity of the meat and the degree of tenderizing and flavor-enhancing desired. Times may vary from as little as an hour for chicken, most fish, and finer steaks, to overnight for larger pork roasts. But some customers report marinating chicken and fish overnight. So, marinating times would only be guidlines, as every suggestion can be shown to be exceeded.

Customers report that, in addition to it's intended use, Mickey's Marinade is being used for frying, oven-roasting, and in crock pots. One neighbor even adds Mickey's Marinade in ground meat when making hamburgers and meat loaf.

So, what's in Mickey's Marinade? Without giving away too much information, Mickey's Marinade is made from a large number of common household spices and condiments. But all are of the highest quality. For instance the oil we use is olive oil, not a vegetable oil as most competitor use. Continuing about the oil, because it is olive oil it congeals in the refrigerator. To overcome this characteristic we had to emulsify the oil. Another ingredient we use is vinegar but we use balsamic, not apple cider or white. Remember, Mickey's Marinade was created for use on our barbeque, not to make a buck.

This begs the question, "Why is Mickey's Marinade so expensive?" In part because the ingredients are expensive but mostly because of the cost of the bottle. Regradless of where Mickey's Marinade is found, on a grocer's shelf or in your pantry, we want the product and the consumer to be safe, so we chose a plastic bottle. The plastic bottle costs us $2.00, not including the cap (another $0.07). If, however, we could warehouse, 10,000 bottles we could get them for $0.48 each.
